Climate change is one of society's most pressing challenges, requiring not only scientific and technological solutions but also meaningful changes in human behaviour. Climate Change Communication studies how climate information is framed, disseminated, and received — and develops evidence-based strategies for pro-environmental behaviour change.
Our research examines how individuals, communities, and institutions perceive, interpret, and respond to climate information. We study media narratives, public campaigns, policy messaging, and community engagement processes to identify communication approaches that effectively encourage sustainable behaviours and climate-responsive action.
We investigate barriers to behaviour change — including misinformation, communication gaps, cultural perceptions, and limited access to reliable climate information. Through interdisciplinary research and evidence-based interventions, Climate Change Communication bridges the gap between climate awareness and meaningful action, supporting policymakers, practitioners, and communities in designing effective climate communication strategies.
By translating research evidence into actionable insights and practical tools, Climate Change Communication strengthens capacity for climate literacy, environmental sustainability, and community engagement in climate resilience initiatives.
Through rigorous research and strategic partnerships, Climate Change Communication advances climate action and environmental sustainability by empowering societies to make informed, behaviour-changing decisions.
